Camera and Strawberries

Well, I did it! I went out and bought a new camera. I bought the Nikon D40. I have only played with it a little bit and I am loving it!! Love the quick shutter response!

Only a quick post today as I am off to pick strawberries with the neighbor. I remember picking them a few years ago and they are so sweet and big this time of year. Can't wait.

Now the problem is do I bring my camera and get a few great shots and risk getting it dirty the first day I have it. I will be debating until the last minute!

Baseball

Tate's baseball is the cutest thing ever. When the kids hit the ball foul, all the kids on the field start saying, foul ball over and over. So this young girl in the stands made a comment about how they all sound like a bunch of chickens. The funny part is that they did. I got a chuckle out of her comment.

One of the times that Tate was up he was the last batter . There are no outs so the last batter is just to run and basically not stop. Most of the kids don't get that. But not Tate, of course he loves to run. So he hit and ran the bases like crazy. The kids are so young they always over or under throw the ball and because of this Tate got a home run. My baby got a home run, sort of speak!

Drive carefully!

First I will start by staying that it is so hard to imagine that Will is almost done with Driver's Ed. He could start driving with an adult in under a week. I remember when I started driving and now to think that I have a child old enough to drive. Wow I feel old, but I also feel excited for Will. This is a huge step to growing up and I think that he should handle it well.

So on to the topic of this post, Mike and I had to attend a informational meeting for Will's Driver's Ed class. The main propose of the meeting was to stress to wear your seat belts and to pay attention to your driving and those around you. This lesson really hit home as I have a good friend, Kim, who just lost her mother due to both of these reasons. Kim's mother and father were heading home from her house and a car pulled out in front of them. Not sure if this driver was talking on the cell, eating something or maybe changing radio stations. Whatever it was he/she was not paying attention. Kim's parents tried to stop but couldn't. Kim's mother wasn't wearing her seat belt and was killed instantly. Her father was wearing his seat belt, treated and released from the hospital the same day. So please everyone, new and old drivers, buckle up and pay 100% attention to the road! And say a prayer for Kim and her family!

I will survive!

What a busy week! Started last week Monday, we had to get ready for the garage sale that was starting on Wednesday. The sale was Wed. through Friday. Then I had to work at the scrapbook store on Saturday. Sunday was the local parade from 1 to 4. Of course I had to be there since my Mom and Dad were part of the parade. I will download a few photos soon. We doubled the day with father's day too.

No reprieve for today either, I have had to run Will to hockey and Tate to a summer school program, back to home, back to hockey (Will needed his inhaler), back home, back to get Will, to the grocery store, back home, to get Tate, back home, drop Will off at driver's ed, back home, now it is about time to take Tate to baseball. Lucky, Tate's ball and Will's driver's ed is at the same place and gets done at the same time! Whew, I am tired just typing this.

Oh, make sure to check out the new CK magazine on page 108. There is a photo of the new Hall of Famer's. I used to work with Mitchell Kraft at the scrapbook store that I still work at.

Have a good week all!!
